Default Hello, is this working?

I just posted a rather large thread in apologetics and it went bye bye. The forum told me I wasn't logged in.

Maybe that's God's way of telling you to reconsider something you wrote.

LOL...perhaps so, Allegra. But I can assure you that what I wrote is positive. I'm not here to play "devils advocate." I'm here to ask questions and learn. This sounds like a great group of folks, dedicated to the faith.

BTW: You are from St. Louis, MO? So am I. Wow. Very nice to meet you. What's up with this heat and our Cardinals?

When you log in, there is some button on that very page that you can check to keep you logged in. Perhaps that was the issue. I've had that problem myself, and if I recall, somehow the keep me logged in button had gotten unchecked.

If the thread took you a long time to write, then it is possible the forums logged you out. If you are on here for a long time doing nothing (or writing something) then it times you out. Like the person above me said, you can click the remember me box to keep yourself logged in until you click the log out button.
But I think that when that happens (getting logged out and then clicking to submit your thread), there is a big box that takes the place of where you were writing your thread that has the two boxes to log in with. Log in using that instead of the one on top of the page because it will post your thread after you log in.

Thank you, Red Duke. I'll remember that!

My wife has a habit of writing book-length (OK, novella-length) emails and then somehow losing them and having to re-type them. I've advised her to open up a plain text document and compose her message there, and then copy and paste it into her email, this way if she loses it she'll only have to recopy and paste. Does she listen? No. Oh well, a prophet is never recognized in his own living room.

I've done that myself, at work, Convert95. I always want to kick myself for not remembering to save a copy so if I lose stuff, I won't have to retype it. Maybe one of these days I'll remember.
