Joinable Groups and Titles [e.g., Forum Supporter Tag]

If you have joined a CAF group, such as the Catholic Answers Forums Supporter, and would like to display your new status to fellow participants, you can add a new title to your profile.

Here are the steps for Forum Supporter (and Radio Club Member):

In the forum menu above, click:
Profile > Control Panel

In the left side column, click on Group Memberships
Networking > Group Memberships


Select "Forum Supporter", tick the "Join Group" circle, and then the "Join Group" button.

Question - Does one need to have contributed on-line to do this, or is a mailed-in donation to CA in general acceptable?

Mail-in, phone-in, on-line, carrier pigeon -- all donations to the CAF fundraiser drive qualify.

All the secondary group "titles" such as "Forum Supporter" and "Radio Club Member" and "Prayer Warrior," can now be displayed simultaneously by users. For example:

John Q. Public
Senior Member
Prayer Warrior
Radio Club Member
Forum Supporter

This is a new feature as the software didn't support this capability originally.

How it currently works:

Step 1 - Join a group
For example, to Join Prayer Warriors:
Profile > Control Panel
In the left side column, click Group Memberships
Then select Prayer Warrior > Join Group

After your join request has been approved, you can add a Prayer Warrior group title to your profile.

Step 2 - Add Group title
Again using the Prayer Warrior group as an example:

Go to Profile > Group Memberships again and find the box labeled:
"You may choose to be identified as a member of the following groups"

Find the "Prayer Warrior" line and tick the circle to the right of that box labeled "Identify me as a member of this group."
Click on "Update Display Group"

And voilà, you'll have the new title in your profile and posts.
