Re: Sen. Salazar: Clarence Thomas an 'Abomination'
The democrats seems like the PSOE here in Spain, very "democratics" and insulting all the time.

Re: Sen. Salazar: Clarence Thomas an 'Abomination'
I'm disappointed with my Senator. However, he announced his intention to vote against Alito on grounds other than abortion. I guess he is therefore technically in agreement with the Catholic Church.
I not sure on exactly what issues he disagrees with Justice Thomas but his comments were not charitable.

Re: Sen. Salazar: Clarence Thomas an 'Abomination'
The Democrats have rather effectively destroyed any image of objectivity in their Congressional actions.

Re: Sen. Salazar: Clarence Thomas an 'Abomination'
I think Clarence Thomas is the best judge on the court. Marshall was so far out of the loop that his law clerks wrote all his opinions for the last 10 years before he died.

Please explain how you come to the conclusion that Salazaar is technically in agreement with the Church.

The way I understand it, he can oppose the judicial candidate on other grounds and still be in communion with the Catholic Church. If he opposed Alito on the grounds that he is against abortion, he would no longer be in communion.
