Is God a "person"?

Do we need to see God as a person? God is certainly not a human being, but the language by which we use to refer to him often appears to imply that God is a "person," rather than something more abstract. Is it possible to see God as more of a concept instead of a person with thoughts, emotions, etc.?

Actually, the one true God is three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That is the doctrine of the Trinity. And, no, it is not appropriate to reduce God to a "concept."
