Can you clarify regarding the evening Mass on Saturday?

Fr. Serpa said to attend 2 masses this coming weekend I understand that. What
I'm not clear about is if the only 2 masses you can make are the Sat. Night mass and a Sunday morning Mass does that count towards our obligation since I'm assuming the Sat. Night Mass is the Sunday reading. Sorry to ask but as a convert this always confuses me when a Holy Day of Obligation lands on Sat.

Hi,

Because the Immaculate Conception is a solemnity and equal in liturgical importance to a Sunday, the Saturday evening Mass is the Mass of the Immaculate Conception. Attending Mass on Saturday evening and on Sunday morning is perfectly fine.
