Default Will an abortion "disqualify" me from absolution?
I am in the process of confirmation through RCIA after 20 years of being away from the church. I am baptised and I have received first communion. I will be going to confession very soon as well. I know that abortion is considered a mortal sin and I am in the unfortunate position of having had an abortion in my past. I am worried that I will not be able to reenter the church and be confirmed. Is this something that the priest can absolve if I am repentant?
