What should I do when I see a family member receive Communion unworthily?
Was with family members at Christmas. It was nice being together, but two of my neices went to communion. One hadn't been to Mass in a long time, she told me, because her work conflicted with Mass times and the other niece was married last Spring, but outside of the church. Neither of their parents said anything...and I wasn't sure what I should do. I'm certain neither of them had been to confession recently.
How should I handle this? I don't want to alienate my nieces and at least they attended Christmas Mass a family which was nice. However, I don't think that they should have gone to communion, should they? Help!
