Default Do those in Purgatory stay there until the end of the world?

I heard not to long ago, that when we die. We go to immediate judgement. Either Heaven if we lived a saintly life. Hell if we lived a Godless life, and purgatory for those of us that need to be sanctified. So far I would agree. But then we are to stay in purgatory until Christ comes again, at the end of the world? Could this be true? Any thoughts on this.
