A friend's frail marriage
I would like to ask for prayers for a dear friend of mine who is dealing with betrayal from her husband. It was almost a year ago that she found out her husband had been having an affair with another woman. She is a very dedicated mother and wife. Since hearing this information about her husband she has suffered a job loss and physical ailments. Her husband had also been verbally abusive to her, many times in front of thier children. She did not have any support from her family because she did not want them to be against him, I was the only person she told. Through her faith in God she held it together and got the best job she could have ever asked for and she is very happy. She is still with her husband but no longer feels so dependent on him. She is still trying to keep her family together and save her marriage. Her husband has turned away from his wife and the Lord.
I pray for her husband to be saved by God, for him to see how his turning away has badly affected his family. I pray for the Holy Spirit to come down on him especially during this time. Thank you.

Re: A friend's frail marriage
This is a very difficult place to be. I was once in a bad marriage. It went from that to a nasty divorce. I pray that this doesn't happen in your friend's situation. Maybe she could seek marriage counseling. Even if he won't go, she might still benefit from it.

Re: A friend's frail marriage
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our
trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen
Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee
blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God pray for us
sinners now and at the hour of our death
Amen.
Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end

Re: A friend's frail marriage
I pray that Our Lord enlightens your friend's husband and moves him to repent of his infidelity. I pray that your friend's husband repents of all of his sins and begins to center his life on Our Lord. I pray that Our Lord strengthens and consoles your friend and helps her to keep faithful, patient, courageous, loving, and blessed in a state of grace. Amen.
