Tropical Storm Beta is hitting the Carribean Islands off Nicuragua today.

Oh, drat, you beat me to it! By several hours, it looks like. Wow this has been a record setting season all around.

Mom of one:

Hurricane Season isn't over for four weeks. We still have time for two or three more tropical storms, and maybe even another hurricane.

I get the sinking feeling we'll be to Delta, or maybe even to Gamma, before this run is done.

I just hope that nothing really bad happens, and that none of these get together with any other weather fronts to form the "Perfect Storm" as happened in late Oct./early Nov., 1991.

Wilma and Alphe very neartly did, and that's why a lot of the fishing fleet stayed in the harbor.
