I Know a way to solve this problem. Follwing the confimation vote, each candidate should get 5 questions for each senator that questioned them.

I'm an independent -- but I must confess . . . when Sen. Kennedy tries to attack ANYONE on the basis of moral or ethical behavior . . . I don't know whether to laugh or to cry!!!

Those among us who try to equate Republican politics with Democratic politics (in this day and age -- the past has been VASTLY different) are letting politics come before judgement -- and even common sense.

Blessings,

I have a better idea. During the next congressional election, each voter should get a wild card vote. In addition to voting for those that would represent you in either the Senate and/or the House, you would get to use your wild card vote to vote for a candidate that is running in a congressional election other than your own.

My plan might require some tinkering with the Constitution, but I have to believe that it would be a fun way to increase voter turnout. It would be nice to watch Ted Kennedy concede defeat on election night by claiming that "those damn Texans killed me."
