How do you judge the seriousness of offenses against the 8th commandment?
How do you judge the seriousness of offenses against the 8th commandment? Obviously lying under oath or lying about someone committing adultery are mortal sins but when does gossip or exaggeration during conversation at work become grave enough to be considered a mortal sin? How can you judge for sure the gravity of sins against the 8th commandment??
