Is the fast, 1 hour before Mass begins, or before Holy Communion?
I saw the question here about eating a granola bar before Mass. I was wondering, is the 1 hour fast, 1 hour before Mass begins, or 1 hour before receiving Holy Communion? I was always told it was one hour before receiving Holy Communion.

Hi,
You are correct. The fast begins one hour before the reception of the Holy Eucharist.
