Well, the fact is that the tension exists within the Church in almost every diocese loyal to Rome. Many of us who would never set foot in an SSPX church or chapel have been frustrated with the blocking of the Tridentine Use, even those of us who PREFER the Pauline Use.
Bp. Fellay admits that the excommunications haven't been lifted, and yet assumes that the Pope considers his organization to be "within the Church"? That's pretty absurd reasoning, I'm afraid; I pray it's not indicative of the thinking of most who support SSPX, or there will never be reconciliation between them and the Catholic Church.
Peace and God bless!
Excellent points. To my knowledge the vast majority of traditionalists never even considered leaving the Church and contented themselves to working within the proper system with obedience. I think it goes without saying that the MP is for them not the SSPX. Though of course it will equally benefit the SSPX when they decide to return to Holy Mother Church.
