Default Ben 16 assaults "deadening" materialism

Quote:
Benedict urged young people to create “a new age in which hope liberates us from the shallowness, apathy and self-absorption which deaden our souls and poison our relationships.”

Well that's more information than our local papers covered on the World Youth Day events. All they gave was a small picture and one quotation. Amazing how the secular media perceives the Spirit of Hope that the Pope delivered to the young people of the world in Sydney. I pray that the young people will see through this deliberate slight of the popular media.

Well if the group I was with 120 or so is anything to go by, we had plenty of opportunity to share our faith with the locals in Sydney.

I personally had quite a few one on one's with people some Christian and some not.

But my impression was that of those who were confronted on their faith, most did not take a backward step, in fact they took the opportunities to educate as they occurred.

The Holy Spirit was working wonders in Sydney!

"By their fruits you should know them" I'm so proud of being a RC, it's wonderful to see how the Holy RCC still is being guided by the Holy Spirit and impacting the life of the young people who are the hope of the Church. Blessed Be GOD!!!
