Search CA from the Firefox Search Box
Any chance on getting an update to this? The links needed to make if don't work anymore.

Also, is there a similar plugin for catholic.com (not just the forums)? I think people who use it regularly to defend their faith would find it extremely useful.

Hi Callin,
I've made 3 search plugins for you. 
The instructions to install them are simple. - Go to the main page of either www.catholic.com, forums.catholic.com, or oce.catholic.com.
.
- In your browser, simply select the Catholic Answers search plugin and your done!
The example below shows how to add the search tool from the Catholic Answers "Faith" site (www.catholic.com). Just select Add "Catholic Answers" from the drop down list:
The www.catholic.com search plugin searches across all catholic.com sites (same as the one described at http://forums.catholic.com/announcement.php?a=36)
The forums.catholic.com search plugin uses the normal forum search and similarly, the oce.catholic.com search plugin uses the site's normal search function.
The plugins can be used in Firefox 2, Firefox 3, or Internet Explorer 7.

Okay, this is a minor quibble, and I don't want to sound annoying after you did such an awesome job, but...
The blue square icon for Catholic Answers "Faith" site doesn't appear when I add it to the search engines in Firefox 3. It's there when it says "Add Catholic Answers" but once it's added the image disappears.
The other two work fine, though. Well, except for this image thing, they all work wonderfully.

Bump.
I'm still not getting an icon when I add Catholic Answers to the search box. It looks fine when it says "Add Catholic Answers" but when added it turns back into a blank document icon.
Minor bug, I guess.

Works for Opera too....
Also anybody using Opera, all they have to do is right click where you would type in the search bar and select "Create Search...". It's got the icon and everything in the browser's search box.

Yes, I've been aware of this; thank you for reminding us. The search works functionality works but the icon is missing.
Since we have limited resources, we've decided to work on things that are important to most our members so we've been working hard on maintaining and improving the forums. I hope you understand.
