An animal cannot decide whether he/she wants life or death. Terri can, and did.

Vegan,
Animals cannot communicate their wishes with us on matters of life and death, or anything else for that matter.
But what do we as humans do? We assume that the animal would want to live. We acknowlege that they have a right to life. Hence, this is why Humans made laws making it illegal to intentionally abuse, neglect, or "starve to death" an animal.
It is NOT a fact of what Terri's wishes were. We know this because it is in dispute.
