Pope Leo XIII - Ave Maria
Hi everyone. I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I thought you would all be interested. Here's a link to a 1903 Edison cylynder recording of Pope Leo XIII reciting the Ave Maria.

Dear Pope Leo! Thanks for the link -- I've heard it before, but I always get the same thrill! Hearing his voice makes him just a bit more real for me. Ah, if only the Venerable John Henry Newman had lived in the time to be recorded...
I wonder has anyone heard of any movement to canonise Leo XIII?

I believe he is already a saint! The Catholic News Agency referred to him as such earlier this year. The Catholic-Forum has him as a saint apparently, although I did not see the date of canonization.

I believe that the two references to him being a Saint are incorrect. I can find no references to Pope Leo XIII ever being canonized. I consider him as one of my favorite Popes along with Pius X, Gregory the Great and Pius V.
