I am asking because I would like to hear from people who have successfully set up and sustained a group or groups of churchgoing families who are concerned about the prospect of bringing up their children in this over-materialistic, uncompassionate world. My plan is to form such a group from like-minded Catholics who attend Mass every week. The objectives of the group would be to encourage members to believe they are not alone in the conviction of their faith, to provide learning experiences that can underpin the moral code by which young people will choose to live their lives and to relign the behaviour of members (and, ultimately, the people who come into contact with them) towards a true Christian model.
My questions are:
- What did you do?
- How long did it take?
- What obstacles did you face and how did you overcome them?
I would find your insight fascinating and useful. Many thanks in advance for taking the trouble to reply.
I want to try to start something that makes a difference for my children. I feel it is time to put my faith into action. Do you feel the same?
May God bless you!
