Who ever said they were? That is also not what this thread is about, so please take your "more Orthodox than Patriarch Bartholomew" attitude to a different thread.

Ah, I see..."Bart" is not Orthodox enough for you. Well, have fun being a church unto yourself. Sorry we're all such terrible sinners who have fallen short of your grace.

If anything is going to break Christianity and make islam bigger and stronger is Christianity itself.

May the LORD have mercy on all of our souls!
Yes I won't pretend some of the remarks fellow Catholics have made about the Orthodox here haven't made me cringe in emberassment from time to time. I do not judge the majority of Orthodox by the actions of a lone voice. I am aware we have disagreements and would happily admit that they pose a stumbling block for both sides but the claim Catholics and the Orthodox worship different Gods is jaw-dropping. It's something I've never seen before. As Dzheremi says I think though it is unwise to go into this now for the reasons they cite. However I will say to eoxy continue this and I suspect you may not be on this site much longer as plainly your views do not resonate with the majority of the Orthodox posters here, which I am not surprised by. My wife found them bizarre in the extreme when I showed them to her. Enough now of what is ultimately a storm in a teacup.

Returning to the actual point of the thread. As I say I believe Muslims do worship the same God but in a very imperfect manner indeed and with a very distorted understanding. Also I grow weary of every so often having to explain to Muslims that we do not worship three gods. When it is new posters who know little about Christianity and are genuinely just ignorant of Christian theology that's ok. However those like Planten or Hamba who persist in believing what they would like to think Christians believe and applying double standards and bizarre lines of logic - well that's entirely another case.

That's a most disrespectful manner to refer to a Patriach by. I'm not Orthodox but would never dream of talking about the various Patriachs in such a manner.

JC & DZ: ~

I can't stand it anymore!

Perhaps it's because I come from both religious backgrounds.

Catholics & Greek Orthodox..... I JUST can't take it anymore.

Agreed! And no worries DZ, I will not bring up CCC.... (what's that number again???)

Hahaha...you are too much, Jakasaki!

I guess that's why I've (shamefully? tactfully?) avoided addressing the OP myself...not only because I've had enough of the OP's constant harping on one particular issue across multiple threads, but because I feel like we've been over this so often...sort like how Jharek feels about the idea of the Holy Trinity being "three gods" (another cringe-worthy idea to me, but less so than the topic of this thread, because at least then I'm not arguing with other Christians).
