Oh, oh! The Bug is Back!
Once again, something seems to be plugged up and I am not receiving any notification of posts to subscribed threads.
This happened a couple of weeks ago, and the problem was fixed but alas, it's happening all over again. Thank you, techs, for investigating this.

What kind of notification did you set for your subscribed threads?
(You probably did it correctly; I'm just curious )

I see the problem has not yet been fixed.
Well, I don't initially remember setting anything! I've been on this board for two years with no problems until recently and when I post to a thread, I have always automatically received notification of additional posts. I've gone to my profile and all the threads I've posted on show as "subscribed," additionally, when I go into the thread itself and click on "thread" (above,) my only option is to "unsubscribe" from that thread, so I am assuming I'm "subscribed."
Am I doing something wrong? Is there, perhaps, a maximum number of threads one can subscribe to before things get wacky? I've never deleted any old threads ......because occasionally they will be resurrected by someone interested in that particular subject!

Re: Oh, oh! The Bug is Back!
Do you access your e-mail via a browser?
Did you or your service provider recently make changes to any anti-spam/virus controls?
Did you or your service provider recently make changes to any filtering/redirection rules?
Have you checked your Junk e-mail folders?
Is catholic.com on your list of approved senders?

No changes have been made to my knowledge, but I'm checking further. Thank you.

Well there must be a couple of hundred e-mail notifications out there somewhere. I just had my tech over for (2) hours and he could find nothing that was plugged up on my end. Since I appear to be the only one with a problem on CAF, I am completely stymied, although when this happened before, here is the answer I got from Forum Admin - (see previous thread on this problem)

Near as we can figure, something downstream was holding up some e-mails. Not sure what it was. We regret the inconvenience.

The problem, whatever it was, was suddenly fixed, only to appear again.

Re: Oh, oh! The Bug is Back!
Just sent you an email via the CAF member email service.
Content: "Just a test to see if another method works."
Let me know what happens.

No, sorry.....I did not receive anything. The last notice I got from CAF was "Hot Topics #100511 - dated ??) I assume there's been an update since.
I have even gone to my subscribed threads again and checked to make sure they're really there. Yup! Well at least I can post.

Re: Oh, oh! The Bug is Back!
Mysteriously, when I opened my in-box this morning there were all my lost notifications from CAF, altho I did not see the one from Forum Admin re: Test. There were so many perhaps I just didn't see it.
This is certainly a puzzle and I hope there are no further problems.
Thank you for all your help!

Re: Oh, oh! The Bug is Back!
We've had a report that your e-mail provider was having some "issues" and that they were at least temporarily resolved. Please let us know if you encounter another problem.
