Was there a Pope Joan?
Is there any validity to the this movie coming out on a woman "Pope Joan" who gave birth, and ruled for two years? If we can trace the history of the Papacy back to St Peter, I hope we will be able to confirm this to be false. There is also a rumor that, as a result of Pope Joan, for many years the chairs used during papal consecrations had holes in their seats, so that an official check of the pope's gender could be performed?
