Question Is sexual arousal while washing a sin?

Is it a sin (even if not mortal) if a person feels sexually aroused when washing his or her privates?

i say if someone has this problem then they should work to change it, i don't know if its a sin, or what could be considered a sin, there is probably something in their life that is perverting their view of sexuality.

but i do know this if you use your sexual organs in ways that god never attended them to be used just for pleasure then it is a sin and could be a mortal sin.

No, it's not.

It's only a sin if one is deliberatly stimulating themselves with the deliberate intention to recieve sexual pleasure. If it's a "side effect" of something else, then just ignore it. It only becomes a sin if you indugle it and continue it.

Question Re: Is sexual arousal while washing a sin?

On a side note, does the Catholic Church consider sexual stimulation masturbation, or only if it results in ejaculation (and if it doesn't would it just be called lustful thoughts)?

Never. The intention is to wash yourself which is a necessary good. The act of washing is good. You cannot help it if there is arousal from time to time. It is an unwanted side effect

Masturbation is deliberate stimulation of the sexual organs for sexual pleasure. This is grave matter. Ejaculation is irrelevant.
