Default Father Thomas Dubay

Our friend Barb let us know of Father Dubay's passing today. This is an interview from The Call where he explains his vocation

God bless you Barb for letting us know and we continue to pray,
Clare

He was a favorite of mine on EWTN. Just a precious Priest. Such a great teaching ability and wonderful presence. He will be missed.

In one of his many teachings about contemplative prayer, he said something that completely transformed my prayer life. He quoted Ephesians 3:20 and said essentially that by seeking a life of deep prayer, we are allowing God the opportunity to give Himself to us in ways more abundant than we can even imagine. I wish I could remember his exact words because they were definitely much more striking than mine.

Father Dubay left behind quite a few books and recorded talks which, I encourage everyone to take advantage of. He spent so much time teaching about the Beatific Vision that I could not help get excited for him, imagining the moment that he was actually able to stand before God and hear Him say, "Well done my good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your Master."

Peace,
Irishquad

Thank you for sharing Irishquad. That is such a blessing regarding contemplative prayer.

Your welcome, I became interested in a much deeper prayer life, largely due to his teaching so, I feel indebted to him. One of the many things I love about being Catholic is that we can even better enjoy and benefit form his friendship, now that he has joined the Church Triumphant!

Peace
