Default Cover me, I'm goin' in...

I've got no choice really, he is coming here. Over Christmas. A young relative from England, militant atheist and "A" student (or whatever the equivalent there is in Old Blighty)in religious studies at his prep school.
He also is a fan of Dan Brown's DaVinci Code and Pullman's The Golden Compass Freemasonry, and the Templar He's even been to Rosslare chapel and also to Rome to see the DaVinci Code sights.

The boys got serious baggage.

Apologetically speaking I don't think I'm ready for this. The stakes are high (a teenager's soul) and there is an element of danger since my kids, from what they've heard about him and what they remember from his last visit when he was young and not so oinionated, think he's really cool since he goes to a british school (like Harry Potter, I'm guessing.) If dad comes off sounding like an uncool bozo(something they have long suspected) it's curtains.

In the past when I've mention Chesterton & Belloc to his mom as an alternative to Pullman and Brown, her head spins around.

Anyway can anyone here point me towards some resources for debating (oh yeah, he's the school champion debater & loves to argue) this teenager?
Ideally what I hink I'd need are are four or five easily memorized "back at yas" to blow DaVinci Code and Pullman out of the water. The philosophical equivalent to an IDF preemptive raid.

I await your wisdom & suggestions.

Of course, they is Catholic Answers website. "Apologetics for Beginners 4: How to Answer Atheists and New Agers" by Father Frank Chacon and Jim Burnham is a good starter book for a cheap price. It can also help you with understanding the Catechism.

Another book is called "This is the Faith." It is a pretty extensive book that gives a good explanation of the Faith (especially about God and Man).

I can vouch for both of those sources. I have 'em both.
