Confraternity Of The United Hearts
I've heard the Bishop of Cleveland is not very receptive to the Missionary Servants of Holy Love so I'm just wondering what anyone can say about the devotion to the United Hearts that is being spread by this Confraternity. Is it approved by the Church, does it have to? It sounds like a great devotion but I wouldn't want to go against the Church be being involved with the movement.
This is their website: www.holylove.org

Re: Confraternity Of The United Hearts
this woman claims to receive visions and visits from Mary and the saints, presumably with messages, yet refuses to submit any of this to the judgement of the local ordinary, Bishop Pilla, therefore by definition there is nothing going on there that Catholics can support much less give credence to. I recall 3 such claims from the last several years in the Cleveland diocese, one in Brecksville or Broadview Hts, one in Bay Village, and one in Geauga county. All three have been judged by the bishop as being not worthy of belief. I don't know if this is one of the same, or another one, but Catholics cannot and must not support it unless and until the bishop approves it. In one of the messages, June 13, "open letter to my opponents " Mary is said to have given the visionary cause to disoby, by implication, the bishop which is proof positive that the so-called message is not of heavenly origin.
I see this is the so-called visionary of Elyria, this web site and apparition have been discussed before on this forum, and the conclusion is the same. Don't waste your time. If you truly want to hear heavenly messages attend Mass, receive Eucharist, confess often, adore Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament, pray always, read the bible.

Re: Confraternity Of The United Hearts
I know for certain that the apparitions in Elyria, Ohio at Maranatha Spring are real. I have experienced healings through God's grace there and the ministry that Jesus placed there. Do not focus on the visionary herself, but the messages given there by Jesus and Mary. The apparitions will not be approved because there is not time before the end times. Look at how long apparitions like those at Lourdes and other places took to be approved. Many people are quick to rash judge without truly looking into the messages and praying. You really don't know what you're missing if you hear and listen to the messages about Holy and Divine Love. Jesus said that this time was reserved for these messages and the ministry of Holy Love Ministries to help accomplish His Will -- that all people live in Holy Love. He has revealed truths through this ministry and has given us the roadmap to heaven through our examination of conscience and an early "illumination" of the current state of our souls. We just have to be open to it. In every present moment we decide for or against love and each decision affects the outcome for the world. Go to the website www.holylove.org and read the messages. Nothing is against scripture. I hope that this helps you. I am extending to you and all who read this the Blessing of the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Re: Confraternity Of The United Hearts
I have been to the site, I like the rosary presentations. However one thing did bother me.
On December 12, 2003,I arrived early and walked into a conference of some sort, a seminar. This priest was asking the people to hold out their hands and empty their minds and hearts. Then try to invision the heart's of Jesus in one hand and Mary in the other. AND going into them!
The only thought that came up in my mind after doing some reading, what was being practice was New Age centering prayer.
I haven't been back since.
And I do not believe that the Blessed Mother would allow HER children to DISOBEY the VERY Church that HER SON started. It seems very counter-productive.
The Devil can take on several forms...that is why The Church takes time to allow or disallow apparations. On tis one, I TRUST Christ's Church.
Bishop Pilla needs to be more firm about his stance on this and MANY other issues. I had heard that he does not want his priests to go there.

Re: Confraternity Of The United Hearts
The Bishop of Cleveland has issued a decree stating the apparitions and locutions of Maureen Sweeney Kyle are not supernatural in origin. He also states the Confraternity of the United Hearts is not an approved association.

the messages of Maureen Sweeney-Kyle are wrong
How good the bishop of Cleveland wrote that decree.
I have read many "messages" by this so-called visionary Maureen Sweeney-Kyle and truly, much goes against Scripture.
Maureen's messages speak ill of the bishop.
Maureen says she is ecumenical, thus doesn't need to bother about the bishop.
Obedience within the Church is said to be an instrument of Satan (see "message" of 5th June 2008).
Whoever opposes "Holy Love" and/or the visionary and her ministry opposes the will of God the Father Himself (that is typical for sects and gurus).
One of Maureen's pamphlets says purgatory was in the heart of Our Lady
and she claims to have a relic of Our Lady - a hair Maureen found, and then "Jesus born incarnate" appeared and told Maureen this hair was a relic of his mother ....
No one should support this "visionary", she most obviously is wrong.
