How many phone lines?
Jerry will often say, "Phone lines are filling up quick!" "There's one last phone line, why don't you fill it up?"
Well, here's what I want to know. How many phone lines are there. Really.

Re: How many phone lines?
The $25,000 question!! We have five(5) incoming lines in the Catholic Answers LIVE studio. Which is plenty for the pace at which we take calls and the number of calls we take on-air.
Keep listenin'!!

Re: How many phone lines?
Erik's right, there are five lines that are available to callers during the program. At times, we could use a lot more than that (thanks to all of you - you're awesome listeners! ). But the downside to that would be long wait times for people, and we'd rather avoid that.
On this subject, are any of you long-time listeners to the show? If so, you might remember the days (in the beginning) when we had to sort of bribe listeners to call (hey, we were only on four stations and the show was new!) by offering a gift to the "caller with the most interesting question." Anyone remember that?
Thanks so much for listening to the program and for your faithful and dependable phone calls - without "you", there would be no "us."
God bless.

Yeah I seem to recall those offers, also. Either a book or a gift shopping thing for some amount.
Ok, so how many others have had to play caller roulette, trying to time your call to get through when somebody else hangs up?

I always do that! I make sure to have dialed before, so that as soon as a caller hangs up, I just hit the "redial" button; it almost always works for me! (I even managed to get onto the "Who Wants to Be an Apologist" show last January that way!)
