Default Suggestion to improve "Post Reply" buttons

From my experiment in the similarly named "Posting Replies" thread, and having seen the branches of replies on other threads, it is apparent that the top and bottom "Post Reply" buttons do not work well. My suggestion, if it is not costly, is to have both "Post Reply" buttons always reply to whatever happens to be the top post that is selected.

Many times I have seen posts that are obviously replying to the original post, but rather than being placed as a new branch under the original post (which would happen with the top "Post Reply" button), they are added onto the branch of whatever reply happens to be the last in the list (indicating that the bottom "Post Reply" button was used to make the reply). It makes the subthreads annoying at times -- especially when you're interested in replies to a certain subthread that are contaminated with replies responding to the original post and not related to the subthread.

Just a suggestion to make these conversations and sub-conversations easier to follow.

p.s. I am using the Hybrid thread display mode.
