Frustration over discussions of science and faith

There is a thread currently on the Social Justice threads Catholicism and Climate Change http://forums.catholic.com/showthread.php?t=462730

There is a new member of CAF (JasonSB) who has done such an impressive job addressing each science issue (and often repeatedly) brought up by those who continue to grasp onto any thread that allows them to believe there is no climate change, and/or even if there is, it is either not significant, and/or it is not man made or a result of our actions.

I've pointed out repeatedly that the Church is trying to lead us to make personal changes and encourage countries to work to mitigate the impact of climate change on the poor ---

In all this - others continue to object throwing objects into the discussion to derail - its either the USCCB or even the Holy Father can't tell us what to do about this because it is not a matter of faith and morals - although the morality of the suffering of the poor around the world is exactly why the Church is in the discussion. - Or they insist that it is some conspiracy of those who want to exert population control - again even though the Church has directly responded to this point - Or it is a conspiracy of those who would benefit from some 'scheme' --- while not seeing the more likely conspiracy of those who profit from maintaining the status quo (big oil / big coal et all)

When someone like JasonSB continues to address, over and over the science issues (I've learned so much) the few who continue to say there isn't "proof positive"- or there isn't proof that any specific action will work - this is where I get so frustrated - and can only continue to do what I can as an individual of faith, continue to try to educate myself on this issue and what policies should be advocated for given the totality of this issue... anyway - anyone else frustrated?
