What do you know---you can knit with fountain pens. And I have the swatch to prove it.
I am also a user and collector of fountain pens. And this is one idea Count Sockula has been toying with ever since a knitting thread appeared on a fountain pen forum and someone said SOMETHING about knitting with fountain pens. Yesterday, the time arrived for the Great Science Experiment. The yarn hit the pen. The buck stopped here. Behold!!! The moment of truth. ![]() Knitting with Hero 616s was awkward and silly and will never make a sock but it proves it can be done. Muahahaaaa.

Wow! That's really cool!
I saw some yarn I wanted to try yesterday. You knit with your arms!

If it's knitting with your feet, I'll pass.

There's some wool which you can knit without needles, using your arms and hands instead of knitting needles. So you cast on to your left arm, then use your right hand to pick up the stitches and knit. That's what it looked like in the pictures anyway!

I looked it up. It's from Adriafil and one of the yarns is called Genio and another starts with M. Yes, it does look like they use arms. Now I'll have to let my LYS know.
I've used chopsticks myself to knit (they're great for making simple stuff like kitty blankets for animal shelters). Um, I use the 'unused' chopsticks (wood ones) that I have extras of, not the used ones. . .

I've done that too, lol! I stick the points in a pencil sharpener and kind of sand them down afterwards.
