. It's interesting to see the genesis of the whole thing. It began with NARAL's call to action:

Take a picture of yourself holding the sign. You can use your camera, a webcam, or even a photo from your phone is fine!
Email your picture to firstname.lastname@example.org – a unique address that will automatically upload your photo to NARAL Pro-Choice America’s Flickr site. (You can use the subject line to give your photo a title and the body to add a description.)
So the pro-lifers said, if you want a face for your campaign, you got it! Here's a bunch of pictures of those who cannot hold a sign for themeselves.
In looking at NARAL's website, I see they've adjusted their campaign to asking people to email pictures directly to them (no doubt so they can have direct control over which images they use).
I'm sure NARAL will never make that mistake again!
