Please read. Please pray for a special friend of mine.
Hello CAF,
I have never posted any prayer intentions in the forum because I have not been moved to do so, but now I am moved to do so.
I am asking prayers for a special friend of mine. She is going through a very difficult time in her life right now. She has lost hope in God's Mercy and have fallen into black despair. She still attends Mass and does her ministry, but everything is dead. She says that Mass and doing her ministry grieves her so much as she tells everyone not to give up hope in God's Mercy, but she has. Nothing that I can say or do is breaking through to her. She has repeatededly told me that she wishes to die. I know that God can get through to her, but I also know that God will honor her free will. I am very scared as that it does look like she intends to die.
Please pray that me and her other friends will know what to do and what to say so that we can help her. I am so sorry if I kept rambling on, but I am very worried and wanted the prayers of you fellow CAF'ers. I have come to know quite a bit of you and am thankful for the blessing you have been in my life.
I have serveral priests saying Mass for her.
I will update when updates are available. Please if this One of Little could ask anything, please pray for my friend. I am crying as I write this.
Thank you and God bless.

Re: Please read. Please pray for a special friend of mine.
Praying for your friend from today's Liturgy of the Hours:
Lord, make us understand your compassion:
may your joy give us strength through the day.
– Bless us, Lord, and sanctify us.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Almighty, ever-living God,
we make our prayer to you at morning, noon and evening:
dispel from our hearts the darkness of sin,
and bring us to the true light, Christ your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.
May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm; and may he lead us to eternal life.
AMEN

God of all hope and healing, I pray for Little One's friend, and entrust her to you, who holds our tomorrows and knows our every need. I pray you will renew her spirit, Lord, and give her new hope for her future. Lord, please grant Little One the right words to say to break through the darkness her friend is under. Father, enfold this dear one with your spirit of gentleness to turn her sorrow into joy once again. We ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.

Re: Please read. Please pray for a special friend of mine.
I am asking that you guys forward this to your friends and maybe try to have Masses said for my friend. I am going to be forwarding this prayer request to all the contemplative monasteries and convents that I can find. I thank you for advancing this prayer as well.
I just talked with her and she is in a stupor of despair. Please I need your prayers as well.
God bless.

Prayer to St. Raphael to Intercede for
Those Contemplating Suicide
Holy Archangel Raphael, appointed by God to guide, protect and heal, I entrust to you all people who at this moment are contemplating suicide. You guided young Tobias on his journey and protected him from the spirit of death which sought to destroy his life. I ask you to protect all people from the road that leads to physical and spiritual death, especially those in most danger of despair and suicide. Just as you led Tobias by the hand, lead them away from the sadness to peace and joy. O holy Raphael, whose name means, "God has healed", bring them the Lord's healing. Lord God, hear the prayer I make together with your faithful servant Raphael. Amen.
St. Raphael, pray for us!
St. Amabilis, pray for us!
St. Benedict Labre, pray for us!
St. Jude, pray for us!
St. Rita, pray for us!
St. Margaret of Cortona, pray for us!
St. Christina the Astonishing, pray for us!
St. Dymphna, pray for us!
St. Philomena, pray for us!
St. Giles, pray for us!
St. Joseph, pray for us!
All you holy saints and angels of God, pray for us!
Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us!
Holy Trinity, one God, have mercy on us.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Re: Please read. Please pray for a special friend of mine.
Jesus please take this crushed spirit and broken heart into Your loving care.
If she has worn herself out, please help her to realize she can, with guidance, handle things in a quieter, gentler way, solicitous for the being You gave her as gift, as well as striving for the welfare of the gift that others are.
Jesus, You taught, "Love others as you love yourself" which means we must rightly love ourselves by proper care. You could have simply said, "Love others" but You wanted us to value the gift of ourselves, Your precious gift. I think, like a priest I knew some years ago, she may have been trying to 'do to much for God' rather that letting You do, in what she could wholesomely manage. I prayed and prayed for him, for 18 months, and he was on the point of leaving the priesthood. I listened on the phone any time he needed to talk...and finally when he was on the point of leaving, I wrote him a long realistic letter. I phoned him three weeks later, and he said, " I read your letter two or three times. And I realized I had been trying to do too much myself 'for God' this last ten years. I have been able to recommit myself to Christ, in trust." He changed his apostolate in the priesthood, and he was filled with joy each time I encountered him after that. (I thought of him in relation to your friend, L.O..
Lord once I was 'the only one', he said, who was striving for him to remain a priest." "It is making you ill, you should leave", everyone else said, he told me. Lord, I know that through me You once worked to save a priest's vocation. It is perhaps the most important thing I did apart from having my boys, and in memory of that, can I ask You to save this woman, and others who are struggling as she is struggling,
as every day in these last few years, that priest has continued to offer Mass. Please in all his Masses, place a prayer for those who struggle as he did, and lead them to wholeness, and the service You desire.

Re: Please read. Please pray for a special friend of mine.
May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Little One, I will be praying for your friend and I will try to have some Masses offered for her.
May Almighty God grant her all of the graces she is in most need of. May the Holy Mother of God and all of the angels and saints intercede for this little one.
Thanks for all of your prayers for others.
God bless you,
