Default Groups access is confusing to me

I don't understand how the Groups function works here.

First, I don't seem to be able to log directly to the group to which I have been admitted (moderated) - I have to use the search function to call up all the group.

Then I see a Wall area (I posted a message there once and can't see it any more) and have to go through another link to get to the associated forum.

Basically I don't get a clean clear 'picture' of the structure of a group/forum, the access is awkward, and there is no way to find a previous Wall posting to see if there were comments.

It sounds like you have a pretty good grasp of how the Groups function works.

I'm kidding, but only half-kidding. I share your confusion. I think it's a great initiative and I look forward to the day where I understand how to utilize it more efficiently. I'd use it more often if I could navigate my way around better.

The Catechesis of the Popes
The more I follow the online discussions ... the more I follow the debates and disagreements in the Church about administrative unity, or the concerns expressed about the moral or personal or administrative or leadership failings of the bishops or the clergy, the more I become convinced that whatever might be the truth of these concerns, ALL of this is simply a distraction. No, itís more than that. Itís a justification, an excuse, for not helping each other and those outside the Church fall in love with Jesus Christ. How easy it is to talk about everything, but about Jesus hardly at all.

When you are in the Group, click at the top where it says THREAD TOOLS

Then when you need to find it, go tour subscriptions and enter from there.

Alternatively, you can subscribe to the group itself. When you need to get there, click on Groups. Once at Groups, down the page a bit and on the right, it shows a list of all the Groups that you are subscribed to.
