How come those mods shut down CAF's one geat masterpeice? Sheesh, they were even awarded trophies for Ignoring This. They've blown it with me. Wont never trust 'em never ever again. Maybe they can't count past 2768? Is that the problem maybe, they need counting lessons? Or how about good sense lessons. Instead of having one great big neverending repository of knowledge and wisdom relating to Ignoring This, CAF is now gonna have multiple threads buried in its very bowels devoted to Ignoring This, That and now This, Please. I mean, anyone who can't ignore this is never gonna figure out how to be an expert on Ignoring if all the lessons are spread to the four corners of the world.
I reckon it's a plot. An evil plot to break up all the expert ignorers and prevent their wisdom from reaching all those poor souls who just can't ignore anything. It's evil, I tell ya.
I'm outraged. I think I'll go on strike and ignore nothing. That'll show 'em...
Now, to make matters worse, that Queen of those revolving rocks she keeps in her garden has gone and started a whole new thread where she wants us to 'Ignore This, Please'. I mean, how is anyone to make sense of that statement? Are we meant to ignore that one particular 'Please, or are we supposed to ignore a This and she is saying 'please'? Why would expert ignorers need to be asked to please ignore something? After all, they ignore this as a matter of course, after years of solid training. There is an entire thread, 2768 posts long that proves we are expert at ignoring this. If those silly mods had left it the whole world would soon be expert at ignoring this. See what a mean thing they have done, depriving all humanity of this brilliant skill? Anyway, now we must be supposed to ignore a particular Please. Well then, what about that Please, or the other Please, or all Pleases? What's so special about this Please?
I'm gonna phone the Vatican. Surely they have someone who can complain about having to ignore this Please and not some other please.
Sheeesh, it must be 2012 already.....
I'm goin' home....
No Pleases down there........

Waaah! Waah! No body appreciates the effort I went to, after the shock I was in finding our beloved thread locked up! Maybe one of you men should have stood up earlier and done it properly, instead of blaming me! Waaah!

It was fitting that the last post in that thread was by You.

But, dear Flounder -- by the way, what relationship are you to myself as Queen Mother?
Let's see -- what is it I was supposed to ignore? Not you. Or is it you, dear Flower?
Sometimes, I do forget, dear forgotten Founder.
Yes, you ignored *ignored* in your Magnificent Seven. Music please.

Granny, are you thinking of Yul Brenner, Steve McQueen, or Eli Wallach when you think of our Founder?

I think about all the possible handsome men, seen and unseen....even the one with his head in the sand and especially the paramedics who picked me up off the street. Of course, I ignore the popular definition of handsome. I look for a handsome heart.

Oh, I agree with you heartily, good Queen Mother! It is the heart that truely counts. Heads of thick, curly hair will go bald; clear eyes will weaken and need glasses; abs of steel will become washboards with a load of laundry on top; but the heart will always beat true.

Re: Ignore This, Please!
I found this on Farcebook:
This year October has 5 Fridays 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays.
This happens once every 823 years.
Hmmm....

That's odd. It looks like it happened last year as well.
Who came up with the 'once every 823 years' idea?

Re: Ignore This, Please!
It must be something in the water! I was standing at the teller's window at the bank, handing over two checks (from different accounts, as neither had enough) to pay the mortgage. The teller then says to me that I am a dollar short on my mortgage!!! Oy vey! The trials of being dyslexic!!! Had to do them all over again....

We do system checks on aircraft. Why does your bank need checking? Is it malfunctioning?
We cash cheques at banks.

But I wasn't cashing a cheque at the bank. I was handing over two checks for them to keep. See the difference? The teller did; that's why he had me make over a new one with the proper amount.
And yes, if you read the international papers, as I am sure you do, you will find that this particular banking institution, Bank of America, is malfunctioning most of the time.

Two " checks"...
Two checks on what? One check on their service and one check on their building standards? What else may you have been checking for?
If you want to cover your mortgage payments you'd better start giving them proper cheques instead.
