Christian Aid Charity

Dear friends.

Does anyone know why the Catholic Church does not diectly support Christian Aid? I know CAFOD do similar work and are our main charity but is there any doctrinal reason why we dont directly support?
I have opportunity to be involved with Christian Aid and wanted some background.
