Old school prepping! I've got a Sears tool set from the 1970s which my parents gave me. It has survived intact (actualy it's grown heavier, like me) and has made possible repaires (orthe demise
) of all sorts of things. Perhaps these are among one of the most useful, and overlooked pieces of gear.I know many people who have a kitchen drawer woth a few screw drivers and a pair of pliers but a real tool kit (and a healthy dose of humility) is a good thing to have in an emergency. |

Good afternoon, Hovannes, Well, you've finally mentioned something of which I have plenty. When I had a vehicle, I always had either a set of tools or a tool box in it and I have a tool box for the house, too. I have both sets of tools from each of my two vehicles. The vehicles are gone, but I still have the tools. I also have manual yard tools in a safe place. So, I have a good assortment of tools on hand. Last week, I picked up six D cell Duracell batteries. I left them packaged and put them behind the old boom box, which is on a shelf in my music room. That reminds me, I need to see if Goodwill can repair the audio cassette player on it. It is an old boom box. I bought it used, for a dollar in 1989, and it was old, then. I can still pick up AM radio stations on it and the speakers have great sound. Yes, I have an aclyctic nature. God loves you and yours, Don
