Greetings Peggy in Burien,

I have had to work on something similiar to what you are going through. Sometimes the numbers will switch on me, I am not sure if I have this to some degree, I don't think so, but the numbers would play games with me. I had a hard time in mathematics all the way up to my senior year, the A's were fought for. When I found Calculus it was like the light bulb went on.

To this day, when I am working with numbers or things of that nature, they will still switch on me. It is a pain in the neck, because I wish to go fast, but just allow yourself extra time to get things done.

God Bless.

Greetings Catholic90,

It sure was nice of you to offer to help out our good friend Peggy. And I too wanted to help out if you guys run into any situations.

Before I was started studying in Sacred Theology, I was pursuing a doctorate in mathematics, however, God called me in a different direction. My life is not turning the way that I thought it would, but I am so thankful, and do I dare hope that my life is turning out the way that God wishes it to go.

God Bless you Both,
Anathama Sit

I have the problem with the numbers switching; yesterday I couldn't get the last four of my own phone number in the right order. Makes for slow going, and is much worse when I'm tired. I bet you run into that too. Sometimes, even the letters go goofy if I'm really tired.

My mother is such a whiz at math. She got all the way to some pre-calculus in high school back in the early 1950s. She "homeschooled" my father as he took his college-level math via correspondence courses when I was little. He was a rocket scientist, a metallurgical engineer when he got through it all. He wasn't dsycalcic like me, he just never had the education in math that he needed, as it was interrupted during WWII.

I'm really good at the math I can "handle," like geometry and fractions. Stood me well, all the years I worked as a clerk in a yardage shop. And, proudly, I might add, I was the only one in the shop who could translate inches and yards to centimeters and meters (and I was the oldest one there)! They sent all our foreign visitors (Sweden, Asia, Britian) to me.
So, if I can build it or touch it, I can usually understand it. Except when I'm very tired, and my cat is easily mistaken for an isosceles triangle.

Thanks for wanting to help! I do appreciate it.

I sure do. I notice this problem more when I am tired and exhuasted. Letters will go when I have not slept good for about four days or more. Pretty much right now, thanks to Christmas vacation I have been getting good rest.

Geometry was very hard for me until I got into college. Ack, I hated the proofs, but now I glory in the proofs, go figure lol.

God Bless You.

Greetings Peggy in Burien,

I am horrid at spelling and way too lazy to look things up in the dictionary. But I got a new Kindle and that changes everything. So perhaps my spelling will get better.

God Bless.

Because he can!

He's just upset because he didn't get the ears from the Chocolate Easter bunny this year. He waited all year, until December 25th, for the Easter Bunny (or maybe it is an Easter 'Roo) to hide the eggs and bring a chocolate bunny for him. But, he all he got was carrot and a cabbage, because he hadn't been quite good enough. But I am sure all will be well by July 20, when Santa will come with his six white boomers.

And don't listen to him when he tells you I'm nuts, because I have proof that the seasons are reversed down there, causing Easter to fall in their spring, and Christmas in the summer.

Isn't their Easter in the fall?

It is all upside down down under!

Christmas Day is December 25th in both the northern and southern hemispheres.
Good Friday is the same day in the northern and southern hemispheres.
Easter Sunday is the same date in the northern and southern hemispheres.

Keep listening to Peggy and you'll end up thinking the top half of the planet spins in the opposite direction from the bottom half. Which would make stepping across the equator a very hazardous thing to do. There'd be "stuff" everywhere!!

Well, of course, but Easter in March or April is SPRING, which is heading toward summer, up here in God's country.

Down under, Easter is also March or April, but it is heading towards your winter, which is Jun-August, or thereabouts, while up here, June-August is summer.

Doesn't the bottom half of the world spin the other way? That is what the equator is for I thought. It seems to serve no other purpose that I can determine. Don't go telling me it does not.
