So far as I can ascertain, scientific names are just as acceptable as common names (as my last posting here demonstrates; I've not had/heard any complaints so far). Vulture, of which Cape, Bearded, Palmnut, Whitebacked and Lappetfaced are a few common names that spring to mind.

The white-browed wagtail bird ( Motacilla maderaspatensis).
