Arrow Please I am begging you for your prayers.

Greetings Catholic Answers Forum,

It is with sad and sorrowful heart that I write this. I have been on the phone with my family. My mother is still in a coma. She shows no reaction to anything that the doctors do. My family broke some heartbreaking news to me, I am her Medical Power of Attourney, which means I have to make the choice if ever to <chokes> to end life support. This is so much more than I can bear.

My family has been asking me what do to, they will not go against my wishes. I have talked with Mom's doctors extensively. The doctors are not so confident as they were a few days ago. They do say she is not suffering any pain. So that is a bit of a relief.

For once I am facing a decision that either way I am not sure of. I have notified my school, my SD/Confessor and friends over here that I may have to go to the United States of America should this be done. I know that I want to be there should this have to come to be.

My family wants me to end life support, but I can't explain to them that I wish to have faith in God and let him decide when He is ready to take her. My heart is grieved.

Please I am begging for your prayers, for Masses said for my family, my mother, and I, Rosaries, Divine Chaplets.

Thank you so much.
God BLess,
Anathama Sit

Lord Jesus Christ, please heal my mother and comfort all of her friends and family, according to Your Divine and Pleasing and PERFECT Will. Help me to know through and through that no matter what happens that it will work out for the good. Give me the graces and strengthes to continue to make Acts of Faith and Acts of Hope. May Your Holy Will be done and may I perfer Your Holy Will above mine. Amen.

Praying from today's Liturgy of the Hours:

In your goodness pour out on us the fruits of your Spirit,
patience, kindness and gentleness.
Preserve us in your ministry, Lord.

May we love you and possess you, for you are love,
and may every action of our lives praise you.
Preserve us in your ministry, Lord.

May we seek those things which are beneficial to our brothers,
without counting the cost, to help them on the way to salvation.
Preserve us in your ministry, Lord.

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Concluding Prayer

Almighty Father,
you have brought us to the light of a new day:
keep us safe the whole day through
from every sinful inclination.
May all our thoughts, words and actions
aim at doing what is pleasing in your sight.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

DISMISSAL

May the Lord bless us,
protect us from all evil and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen.

Hi Anathema, I'm sorry to hear about this. Please know that I'm including your intentions in my daily Masses, and including them in my personal prayers as well. God bless.

I was in your exact situation with my mother.
God will give you everything you need to do His will, trust in Him.

I will be asking the intercession of St Joseph in my prayers for you and your mother.

O God who are the only source of health and healing, the spirit of calm and the central peace of this universe, grant to me such a consciousness of your indwelling and surrounding presence that I may permit you to give me health and strength and peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Saying a prayer for you, An-S, that you make a decision that is good for your mom and that you and your mom and your family can get through any pain/transition well and in good health.

Oh, poor Anathama! How awful a position you are in. You are in my prayers always, but expecially now, with more prayers for your mother. God Bless you. I will pray for all the choices you have to make nowl
