See you in Easter!
Writing this to my fellow Eastern Catholics, and brethren Latin Catholics who frequent the Eastern Catholic Forum.
I have decided that for my Lenten Fast, I will give up CAF. CAF has been a great resource and helped a lot in my journey with my faith especially with my move East. However I will admit that I have enjoyed CAF too much and oftentimes I spend more time at CAF than at something more important. Just look at how many posts I have amassed at the short time I have been here. So to help me focus on the more important things in life, I will give up CAF for Great Lent starting this Monday, and I will be back on Easter (we're on Gregorian).
I have always told myself that if I leave CAF, permanently or temporarily, I won't do something like this because I think its drama and I hate drama. But I am doing this because I want to ask for your prayers that God may give me the strength to do this. And I am posting this a couple of days early because I would love to hear what some would have to say about it, hopefully its in a form of encouragement and prayer. But if some wishes to criticize me, I would gladly receive that as well and contemplate on it over Great Lent.
And I will also pray for all of you, not just for the Lenten Fast but for all things you ask from God.
PS. For those who have my personal email, feel free to continue contact me through that.
Glory to Jesus Christ!
Glory be to God for all things!

Re: See you in Easter!
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
I will pray for you as you seek a closer relationship with the Lord!

ALSO PLEASE....
Pray for the end of abortion in the world. Support 40 days for Life. If there is a campaign in your area, please join. If not or you cannot participate actively, participate by praying for the end of abortion, for the conversion of the hearts of the women who are considering having an abortion and the men who are encouraging them, and for the mercy of God on the innocent souls who have been victimized by this abuse.

Re: See you in Easter!
I will pray for you. Please remember me in my prayers too.
Lent for us starts on Wed. the 22nd of Feb. I am going to give up wine - all alcoholic drinks actually - and facebook becaue I spend far too much time sipping on wine and surfing facebook. It's time to focus on more important things, including my spiritual life.
God bless you!

Re: See you in Easter!
Hard to give up facebook because I keep in touch with my family there. Also I do use it to disseminate information to people I know about the Eastern Churches, the ProLife movement, and any other Christian message. I might give up playing facebook games though.

Re: See you in Easter!
Prayers to you on your journey and thanks in advance for the prayers you will offer for all of us. Giving up Facebook games is something I am seriously considering and spending that time in the evening on spiritual reading and or prayer. Prayers for you for a very fruitful Lenten journey.

I know, that is the plan. Everytime I have the urge to come here or to play facebook games, I should go an pray instead.
