"Shadow People" and Demons - Page 3

My husband and I both have seen "shadow people". Some are very small, some the size of a normal human. No we don't take drugs, were not asleep or in the between waking/sleep stage either. The little ones seem to keep to the walls but the larger ones will move anywhere they please. We have had our home blessed by our parish priest and this seems to have taken care of the problem. We also go through our home nightly saying the prayer to St. Michael and sprinkling holy water.

Evil is real and very evident if you pay attention. I think alot of people see things but dismiss them because we are conditioned in this day in age to not accept the supernatural but the Catholic faith is about the supernatural life isn't it? Our goal is to attain heaven, this life is temporary.

I saw one and it was while I was eating dinner so I was not half awake and this happened once.

I'll never forget the time a friend and I had climbed into an abandoned house when we were younger and both saw the same figure move towards us. As we found out later, some other kids had used a wiji(spelling?) board in there.

I'm pretty sure that occasion was demonic and not a purgatorial spirit though.

The first time that I heard of "shadow people'" was about ten years ago on a late-night redio program called "Coast to Coast am". As for 'shadow people' themselves, I think that most of them are natrual or have a rational explaintion; rest may have a supernatual causel.

Sorry, but I haven't seen any of Shadow people but I guess I had an experience of being a shadow man.On watching a documentary, I came to know it as near death experience. I am diabetic and got a bad cough that day. I had the cough each and everytime when I was going to sleep and during awakening. On that day, I fell asleep. during sleep, i came to experience of wakening.I woke up, felt weightless. Surprising I was able to see my face as sleeping when I turned around. I walked(No I was creeping in the air) towards the next room. From there to dining room which was also served as Holy place. Suddenly when I heard my dog barking I fastly returned back to my body.

I've never experience the shadow people or sleep paralysis, but often I am awakened at night with the sensation of something jumping on my bed next to me, like the size of a cat. Only I do not have a cat, and it feels like something slightly evil. I always pray my Hail Marys and Our Fathers until I fall asleep again. Anyone experience something like this?

I was im my 20's during the one of the war episodes in Yugoslavia. I was at the front, sleeping outside under the camo nets. In the middle of the night and i saw shadow, smoky, grainy figure, the size of human. I felt It was evil energy, entity, the same feeling as evil person, but no body, just information..,floating at the entrance and than obove me. I was under impression i was awake. It was not a dream, my eyes where open. I felt terrible fear when shadow floated next to me and started to speak to me- "i am stronger!!!". I closed my eyes and this think started to touch my ear. I was declearing my self as christian, but more as a part of tradition of my nation. I had strong fear and only thing i felt can help me is Not my gun, but God! I tried to bless my self but i looked at my hand and was not able to move my hand! and i tried to say "our father", but my brain was in pure now, and totaly blank. And i was not able to move or speak and call for 2 of my buddies sleeping next to me. I Felt God in my heart, i asked for help, I belived Jesus is Son of God and i started crying, my thumb, index and middle finger connected, i Blessed my self, and Our Father came to my brain as a feelings, not words...i cried...i was gratefull...i felt God can crush me, but he is keeping me here, and all of us.... Never happend again, altough i think it did happend before, but I dissmised it as a dream.

Talked to my priest and some monks and they said not to feel special or doomed. They told me to thank God if shadow person is maybe Angel and we where blesed to see it, and saying i dont want to see it if its not from God. Im thinking, what if shadows are angels, and evil and bad feelings are our projection, our real not pure, sinful soul. What if my expiriance was not my demon, but my Angel, who helped me to step to the right path towards the God?! Was the fear i felt, fear of my self!? Maybe the words i heard"im stronger" where my words, my ego preventing my soul to connect to God?! Was i just losing my self in order to recive God? And shadow person was....

. What do you think?! Stll got the goose bumps

What if we have high opinion about our selfs, even tough we are far from God and from that reason we see Angels as something evil? Remember reading somewhere, normal people cant see high ranked Angels and stay alive, yet alone seeng God! So lets say demon visit us and how would we feel?? How about Angel. Do we feel good when somebody pintpoints our flaws? WE would be scared, mad, unconfortible. Would the light of and Angel makes us feel angry, because it shines on our dirt?! Would we feel better if demon gives us compliments? Was not the goal od devil to trick us, and who would trick us better? Thats in our human nature. So if you feel fearfull, think about God, pray..,who realy visited you? Just offering you the view from the East;€

"Yes" to the sensation of something jumping on the bed while not even yet having fallen asleep. My protection for any of these nightly, disturbing experiences, like: sleep paralysis, trouble breathing, something pressing on my body till it hurts terribly, a sensation of tickling is for me to petition God for these experiences not to happen by mentioning each experience for what they are. God is so good to me, He listens and I end up with very good night sleep.

I found the reciting of the Apostles Creed is a very powerful deterrent for any of these weird things to happen and if they do happen. The sensation will stop practically immediately, especially when I come to the part "I believe in Jesus Christ, the only son of God." But just declaring "I believe in God," is also very powerful.

Things that just started to happen to me and also to my husband is the hearing of a voice saying something. The sound of the voice is not frightening. For the past two days I have been awakened by the distinct tone of a doorbell. Yesterday at 8 a.m. it was the single tone of the backdoor bell. This morning at 3:48 a.m. the distinct tone of the front doorbell. This time I got up to see if there would be someone at the frontdoor. Nope - no one.

I will just keep saying my Rosary and before going to sleep bless my bed, bedroom and I sometimes go through the entire house blessing each room, even the bathrooms.

Get your house blessed asap if you are having the sorts of troubles I am reading about in this thread.

And when you are frozen in fear, remember the Jesus prayer. It is enough.

My wife and I had an experience a couple years ago with one of these "shadow people." That was the turning point in our life, that is what caused our conversion to Christ. My wife who grew up without a religion came into the Catholic Church this Easter. At the time it happened I was a lapsed Catholic, now I am as Catholic as they get. There is no doubt that what was in our house was pure evil. Yes it was an angel of God as all angels are, but this was one of the angels that had rejected God. There can be no doubt because the darkness, coldness, and evil that came over us was the worst feeling you could imagine. A good angel would not have tried to keep me from praying. Even though I was a bad Catholic when it happened, I knew the Our Father like the back of my hand. My wife and I now know why I couldn't finish it. The last words are "deliver us from evil, Amen." One day soon I will get a website up that tells the whole story. the leading up to, the event, and what has happened since. I will post the link on here when it is up and running, I can promise our situation is very unique and we have documented a good portion of it. God Bless you all and my your hearts be filled with the love of Christ.

Yes, the Sleep paralysis is of demonic activity. What you see when you come from the sleep world to the real world with you still being paralysed when you wake up is because you are seeing the demon that is causing the nightmere, and fear. Even Joseph had an angel come into his sleep to tell him to go down to Egypt when he woke up. So what you are seeing is the demon or fallen angel that is attacking you.
