Re: South Park is awesome.
I don't have my TV hooked up, so I only get to watch Southpark when I'm staying in a hotel or something.
The hippie music festival one was absolutely brilliant. They pegged the Occupy movement to a tee before it even existed!
And the visit to the museum of tolerance was also perfect. Especially when they just get done lecturing how we must respect others' lifestyle choices and then go off on the guy smoking a cigarette.
I also enjoyed the Southpark remake of Great Expectations. The introduction was great. "Hello, I'm a British person." You'd probably have to see it to appreciate it.
Yes, it's juvenile and offensive, but it's also great satire. They even poked fun of themselves with the movie. The mothers forbid the kids to see the Terrence and Philip movie because it's poorly drawn, and relies on toilet humor....

Re: South Park is awesome.
South Park USED to be funny and good satire. Now it's just cheap offensiveness and crudity for the sake of being offensive and crude. Too bad, I used to like that show a lot when they actually put work into the episodes. Now it's just a mere parody of itself.

No, those are just the ones that came to mind first.

Re: South Park is awesome.
The show has no redeeming qualities. I would tell everyone not to watch it.
Peace,

But that's precisely the problem, at least for me. I'm just not interested in trying to look past the vulgarity when there are other things I can enjoy without having to do that.

Re: South Park is awesome.
I feel more insulted morally and politically sometimes by Looney Tunes(and Merrie Melodies) than South Park....
But I love LT nonetheless....
Rebellious politically incorrect cartoons(which LT is more so than South Park, even in it's heyday, but more so today) remind me not to take things too seriously.
Looney Tunes is actually censored more when it appears on TV these days.

I hated Looney Tunes as a child. What exactly is politically incorrect about it?

I could have sworn they had characters in blackface. That was mega-weird in retrospect.

they also called Wild E Coyote a "Hardhead M*****fu****" in the latin titles once... the same titles where they called the Road Runner "Batouttahellius"!
