I thought he changed all that. I have a picture of him as pope sitting in a chair in the Vatican with a cat asleep in his lap. And I remember reading that they now feed the strays in the Vatican garden since our Holy Father became pope.
In any event, cats or no cats, I think the world of our Pope Benedict XVI. May Our Lord protect him and keep him safe!

After reading that, I'm guessing Pope Benedict doesn't have need of Lunesta.

Re: A day in the life of the Holy Father..
Wow, what a schedule. I cannot believe he goes to bed after 11p and wakes up at 5a. I complain of being tired when I get to bed at midnight and have to wake up at 8! But 5am??? Whew, maybe once in a while for a special occasion.
I wonder if JPII had a similar schedule. This was quite an interesting read and would like to see how it differed from JPII. Probably not by much, but still....I think it'd be interesting.

Speaking of the famous stray cats of Rome: I remember reading one time that when the Holy Father was still Cardinal Ratzinger, the neighborhood cats would follow him to the door of the apartment house where he lived near the Vatican, and the security guards had to shoo the little beasties away!
I, too, think the world of our Papa, and pray for him daily!
Wow, what a schedule he follows, and at his age, too!
