A space for those distant from a parish community

I wanted to start a thread for all those who, through physical or moral impossibility, are unable to meet regularly with other Catholics as a parish community, to encourage one another in the faith.

In doing this, I want to lay down one simple rule, that we trust that anyone who says they can't meet their Sunday obligation in the normal way has resolved, with a priest or with their own conscience, that this is indeed the case, and we don't judge anyone or advise them to take dangerous or heroic steps to find a parish -community whether that would mean risking their health, travelling great distances, etc. In fact, I would like to institute a 'dont ask why' policy for this thread.

Anyway, if you are isolated from the wider Catholic community, I can see how this forum wouldn't be the best place to find a sympathetic support network much of the time, so I am hoping this thread can remedy that situation.

I would like to ask though what you want to achieve in this thread that the rest of the forum don't already offer ? In that how would it make up for not being in church for those Roman Catholics who believe it is their duty to be in church? Does internet church qualify as church. If it does then you may be better at trying to work out an agreement with a Roman Catholic Church to do some kind of video link in this space if possible and that way Roman Catholics who sincerly can't get to church any other way that sunday who believe it to be their duty to be in church could access a video link church via this website as next best thing for being in church and it is upto them whether they seek priest consent before hand and of course the service could be accessed by other people too and help them to see what is good about being Roman Catholic etc. A neat project for you to think about there.
