Please read this.
It is about Russell Ford, who has written articles for THIS ROCK magazine, now called CATHOLIC ANSWERS magazine.
He has written THE MISSIONARY CATECHISM, which Karl Keating, of this website Catholic Answers, wrote the foreword to.
He is in a penitentiary in Alabama. The conditions are beyond barbaric.
Yet he perseveres as an evangelist, despite other prisoners and guards
who knowingly and deliberately desecrate the Mass when it is being offered and
have even assaulted (the guards!!) the PRIEST offering the Holy Sacrifice !!!
This man needs our prayers. Read his story here. His book is available online, too.
Peace to all.

It is true that out of the 50 states, Massachusetts pays the most money per prisoner, and Alabama pays the least. There have been a few cases where the lawyers of persons convicted brought them toilet paper and other essential things like this which they did not have. [In AL that is]

Hmmm... being so interested as this is so close to home... the Catholic community in Alabama is 'close-knit' for sure

This news story says he was serving his 23rd of 25 year sentence. I wonder if he's almost out. Does anyone know his whereabouts?
"Benedict XVI has called for the Church in America to be at the forefront of reviving Catholicism worldwide"
