Re: Sobriety - very close to relapse today.
Continued prayers for your sobriety, David.
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

David, is your wife attending Al-Anon meetings? I hope so. I pray she is.
The previous poster suggested you call either your group or the local intergroup for help getting to meetings. Since service is such a huge part of both AA and Al-Anon, I feel certain that you can get a ride to meetings! You should have a list of other AAs that you can call instead of being tempted to drink.
Please give us an update. May God give you comfort and strength today.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

Oh, I don't know if my wife is attending Al-Anon. I can say with near certainty that she isn't though, but I'm not sure; we're currently separated for the time being.
Anyhow, the update: I am 67 days clean and sober today. I am still seeking work and that is showing signs of progress as I have at least had some interviews. I have a new doctor that has been helping me out tremendously and has gotten me back on a strict medicinal regimen - one of which eliminates the cravings for alcohol - thanks be to God! I have since sold my truck (sad - it was my dads truck and I got it when he passed away, but I needed something more family friendly and economical) and got a fuel friendly smaller car so I can get in an out of town much easier.
The Lord has kept me clean and sober today. I ask Him each day what I can do for him, and staying sober is usually the first thing he asks me to do. So with His help I do.

Re: Sobriety - very close to relapse today.
God bless you, David. I will keep you in my prayers. If you and your wife can reconcile, it would be really good for her to attend Al-Anon meetings, since you are in AA.

We have talked of reconciliation. We are putting it in God's hands. I can't focus on that right now although with how we both feel I have faith it will happen. God has kept me sober and safe, God has kept my wife and children safe during this time, and I know that through Him only good things can come. Thank you for your prayers.
