Default Father Robert Sprizer Show

A couple of points re the recent Father Robert Sprizer shows:

1) Father Robert Sprizer was good in that he reminded me (not that i needed it) just how reasonable belief in God actually is. He has an immense intellect and one gets confidence from knowing that people like him have thought through all the angles and still believe in God. I wish some so called big hitter athiest would call (we know Dawkins is scared so someone else) to debate.

2) Unfortuantely, for someone like me, at times he was operating at a level above my cabability and i am sure i am not alone in that thought. It would be good to have him on the show again but have him in the studio (rather than on a phone line) and have someone prompt him to break down what he is saying into smaller chunks for people like me. Or maybe i was the only one who struggled?

2) He recommened an article in new Scientist http://www.newscientist.com/article/...ion-event.html which i would love to read but it seems we have to pay $10 for that privelige. Does anyone know where else it might be available for $0?

G'day Tim , You aren't the only one who has struggled to understand Fr Spitzer I feel the same when I go to Dr Ed Feser's website. . I console myself with the thought that it is good that those of greater intelligence than mine can listen to or read books by Fr Spitzer and profit by them.

Fr Robert Spitzer is brilliant and faithful to the Magisterium but he is totally above my head. I have tried to listen to his various series on EWTN and YouTube but give up after about 15 minutes.I found the same when he was guest on Catholic Answers. The one exception to this is Healing the Culture which is available on the EWTN website.

You might like to check out the Magis Institute which was founded by Fr Spitzer. On it he has material which is broken down into different levels e.g. college, high school

My brother who is a Buddhist loves this show.(
I watch but much is over my head.)
It has given him a positive outlook on Catholic thinking
and me a wedge on bringing him home.

I think Fr. Spitzer's brain is so big I can't even speak the same language, but man............he's a wellspring of knowledge. He also makes my head hurt.
