Things Banned?
I saw the banned topics, but I know you don't like Medjugorje talk and I didn't see it in there. I was also wondering about the Evolution/Creationism or other things I don't know about. I believe that's all someplace, and I saw a link once maybe? Anyway, still getting oriented, could I have a link or multiple ones to where I can find what I shouldn't start a thread on or get involved with? Oh, wait. Is it different for different forums? Like in the sticky's for each one?
Thanks! (I am old and have memory issues)

Re: Things Banned?
Hi Praxising,
I think Medjugorje falls into the category of unapproved apparitions, and so is banned in all of the forums of CAF.

As for bans on discussion of evolution, those seem to be specific to certain of the forums. Such bans are a moderator decision, and may be temporary (to allow emotions to calm down.) Some forums, for the time being, allow discussion of evolution but I've seen the moderator caution people to keep the discussion charitable... or else.

Thanks, Dale. I must have seen some sort of evolution ban someplace and then run into some discussion, so, it must be that specific forum thing. Or I imagined it!

Re: Things Banned?
Can I post a link to this site: http://www.locutions.org
Quote:
Monsignor John Esseff is a diocesan priest and exorcist for the diocese of Scranton. Msgr. Esseff, who was ordained in 1953, writes that he had Padre Pio as a spiritual director, and later was Mother Teresa's spiritual director.
In this blog, Msgr. Esseff explains that he is now the spiritual director of a person who has been receiving locutions from Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary. For a time, these locutions were personal, addressed to the local community, but since December 2010, according to Msgr. Esseff, these locutions have begun to be addressed to the whole world. Msgr. Esseff writes that he has discerned the validity of these locutions, and apparently he has judged them sound enough to publish.

Is his approval enough for this to be "church-approved?"

No, the bishop of the diocese where the private revelations have occurred needs to grant approval. The pope can do so as well, I believe.

Re: Things Banned?
It falls under the unapproved apparitions ban.
