How can I be sure that there is not stain of sin on my soul?
I am often haunted by my past sins. I have begun going back to confession and have found a new love for Christ. It's not that I forgot him, it's just that I never really appreciated his love for me. I am haunted at the fact that I may have either forgotten, a past mortal sin and God forbid, I die, I will certainly burn in hell and never see God, Mary, St. Michael the Arch angel. This absolutely horrifies me. How can I be sure I have santifying grace and no stain on my soul from my past?
