Re: Meet and Greet #86
Was just reading the post on American Catholic for today about Fr. Thomas Byles now considered a martyr by the Church, and the other two Catholic priests who gave up their chances to escape from the sinking Titanic to administer to those who were in danger on that sad Night to Remember...

Re: Meet and Greet #86
Hello, I am 50 years old and joined the Catholic Church in 2001 through RCIA. I love the rich tradition and history of the Church. I feel as though I have come home; finding acceptance, forgiveness, and God. I was raised in a Church of Christ. I was convinced I could never go to heaven due to my sins. For me spirituality and religion have come together. My daughter of 8 years will take her First Holy Communion this Saturday. I am a single mother as my husband never went or joined The Church. So, hello new family of believers! Photeni

Re: Meet and Greet #86
Hello,
I am a convert since age 13, or almost 60 years. I attended a Mason Funeral in the last few days and they emphasized that all bodies would be asleep until the 2nd coming of Christ. This disturbed me as I did not think we believed this way but that our soul would be where=ever appropriate and our bodies would be resurrected at the send coming. What is the truth about our souls and where they go at death??

Re: Meet and Greet #86
Hello everyone!
I am Uriel Emmanuel Soriano from the Philippines.
I am a member of the Basic Ecclesial Community - Catholic Faith Defenders in our school. I joined the organization because I want to live a life devoted to serving the Lord and defending the Catholic faith. I was referred to the organization by a friend. Since then, I have been active in every activity of the organization. Before joining them, I was a member of the Campus Crusade for Christ, a Protestant organization.
Nice to meet all of you! I hope I will learn from you all, and I hope that you guys help me deepen my Catholic faith.
Benedictus Deus in saecula! Amen!

Re: Meet and Greet #86
Hello all!
I'm back...used to be on CAF years ago under a different handle, when I came back I changed it, or did I have to sign up all over again? I can't remember, mind's getting fuzzy!
Anyhooo, I don't mean to sneak in under a different moniker, it's just the old one didn't fit anymore. I was episcogirl as I was, at the time, an episcopalian (although I was raised Roman Catholic). But I'm back, here and in the church, Rome sweet home.
Anyway, apologies, didn't mean to sneak back in like that, but the name change seemed appropriate.
